Minister Ganesh Joshi asks Centre for upgradation of 600 km roads, 10 bridges under PMGSY-3

New Delhi, 20 Dec: Uttarakhand Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi met Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi for a courtesy meeting. During this meeting, Minister Ganesh Joshi expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister for the approval of 2288 kilometres of roads under the PMGSY scheme in Uttarakhand.

Minister Joshi further requested the Union Minister to consider the unique geographical challenges, strategic importance, and limited resources of the state and approve the upgradation of 600 kilometres of roads and approximately 10 bridges under PMGSY-3. Additionally, he sought approval for Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for connecting settlements with motorable roads under PMGSY-4.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured positive action on all the key points.

On this occasion, Minister Joshi also presented a traditional hill cap to Union Minister Chouhan.
