Dehradun, 4 Apr: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi visited the Nehruwala area of Dehradun today to review ongoing development works. During his visit, he directed department officials concerned via telephone to take necessary action for the undergrounding of the high-tension (33 kV) power lines.
While inspecting the progress of road widening work, Minister Joshi instructed the Public Works Department that the new road level must not be higher than the local residents’ houses. He emphasised that the construction should be carried out in a manner that does not inconvenience the public and that their comfort must be given top priority.
Additionally, the Minister inspected the proposed site for the relocation of the Shiv Temple located in Nehruwala. He stressed the importance of maintaining both the quality and pace of the ongoing projects and assured that public grievances would be addressed on priority.
Present on the occasion were Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, PBOR Shamsher Singh Bisht, Mahesh Prasad, SD Dangwal, Vipul, Sagar, Jaspal Singh, along with several local residents.
