Dehradun, 4 Mar: Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in a financial assistance cheque distribution programme at his camp office here on Tuesday. During the event, he distributed cheques of Rs 5,000 each to needy individuals from the Mussoorie Assembly constituency. This financial aid was provided under the discretionary fund approved by Speaker Ritu Khanduri.
Joshi expressed his gratitude to the Speaker and appreciated her support in helping the underprivileged.
On this occasion, Joshi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of every section of society. He emphasised that supporting financially weaker individuals remains a priority, and this assistance is a step in that direction. He further highlighted that the state government is actively working through various schemes to uplift underprivileged sections, ensuring that similar aid reaches those in need in the future.
The beneficiaries who received the financial assistance were Deepak Singh, Sharda Devi, Varsha, Shivani, Poonam, Suman Devi, Akanksha Chinali, Rajni Devi, Sarita, Pramod Kumar, Uma Gurung, Vimla Devi, Anoop Kumar, Kaushalya Devi, Sheetal, Shefali, Basanti, Sapna, and others.
Among those present at the programme were Mandal President Pradeep Rawat and Vishnu Gupta.
