Minister Joshi participates virtually in meeting chaired by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Dehradun, 21 Aug: Uttarakhand Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi participated virtually in a meeting chaired by Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the upcoming Chintan Shivir scheduled to be held in September.

The meeting was attended by Rural Development Ministers and senior officials from various states across the country. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan invited suggestions from all states on the successful organisation of the Chintan Shivir, proposed to be held in Udaipur, Rajasthan on 4–5 September 2025.

On the occasion, Uttarakhand Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the Chintan Shivir would prove to be a milestone in making rural development policies more effective. He added that the Uttarakhand Government is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of Central schemes in the field of rural development reach every household.

Minister Joshi also shared his suggestions related to promoting rural livelihood, self-reliance, self-employment, and conservation of natural resources. He further directed officials to study the North-Eastern Himalayan states so that rural development schemes could be implemented more effectively and practically in hill states like Uttarakhand.

On this occasion, Commissioner, Rural Development, Anuradha Pal, Additional Secretary, Rural Development, Jharna Kamthan, along with other officials, were also present.
