Dehradun, 3 Sep: Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj formally ‘joined’ the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today at the party’s state headquarters. This was part of the countrywide membership campaign launched by the party.
On Tuesday, Maharaj arrived at the BJP office on Balbir Road to officially take membership of the party. Expressing his pride, Maharaj stated that joining the world’s largest political party is a significant honour. He highlighted that the BJP is the party with the highest number of members, and attributed its expansion to reasons such as unity, harmony, organisational acumen, and respect for workers at all levels.
Satpal Maharaj also praised, both, the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in the state for setting new benchmarks in development.
