Dehradun, 11 Sep: A strong possibility is emerging of Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Kumaon region in mid-October. Sources stated that, in view of the possible tour of Modi to the Kumaon region, the Kumaon Commissioner and IG, Kumaon, have begun preparations for the visit.

The sources further claim that PM Modi can visit the Kailash Darshan site discovered as a new pilgrimage in Vyas Valley in mid-October. In that case, PM Modi is likely to stay the night at Narayan Ashram or Vibrant Village Gunji ahead of Dharchula.

The Narayan Ashram was established in 1939 and was built by Swami Narayan. The people of Gujarat played a big role in its construction. Pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar also pass through this location. In addition, there is also a possibility of PM Modi also visiting Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Parvati Tal, Vyas Cave in Vyas Valley.

It is worth noting that, after Covid, China has imposed restrictions on Mount Kailash pilgrims coming via the India route. In such a situation, if Kailash can be seen from the Indian border, then the wishes of Shiva devotees can be fulfilled to some extent. It is being said that the Uttarakhand government is working on a plan to bring Shiva devotees here by helicopter service. For this, flights to Pithoragarh will soon be started from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad. From there, Kailash darshan will be done through by helicopter (aerial view). Besides, the road is also being repaired, and the BRO has intensified its repair work in the region.
