Dehradun 28 Mar: BJP today stated that the people of the state have openly given more than 70 thousand suggestions regarding the preparation of BJP’s manifesto for the Parliamentary Elections. Addressing the media at the State Election Media Centre here, today, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, who is also the state convenor of the Manifesto Committee constituted to receive public suggestions, stated that the party has today sent these suggestions from all sections of society to the central leadership, which will guarantee the creation of a developed India.
Rawat said that the Manifesto (called Sankalp Patra by the BJP) will be prepared by the Central leadership based on the feedback and suggestions which will also consist of a road map for the country. Rawat said that the public of the state have given more than 70 thousand suggestions, exceeding the expectations of the party. These suggestions have been received by the suggestion compilation team through letters to the party, in person, online, etc. He added that the party has received blessings for Modi in the form of suggestions from all sections of society. Suggestions have been received from retired employees, labourers, or small traders and street vendors, farmers, women, youth, entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, sportspersons, religion, theatre artists or creative people and people belonging to all sections of society. He added that 60 percent of the suggestions received by the state committee are related to the state and 40 percent are related to the issues pertaining to the Centre. Suggestions related to local issues are being sent to the state government and suggestions related to the centre are being sent to the central leadership today. After detailed discussion and consideration, the party will bring forward its vision for the future of the country. Expressing confidence, he said that the party’s document that will prepare the road map for a developed India will be shared with the people soon. He also clarified that the kind of ideas and suggestions given by the public will become the guarantee of a developed India after compilation.
Rawat shared that most of the suggestions are regarding development and public welfare schemes, along with the suggestions, a large number of people have also registered their blessings for PM Modi’s victory and his work. The people have given important suggestions on environment, regarding promotion of agriculture and improvement of agricultural land. Similarly, important suggestions were received for improving health facilities and schemes, burning issues that are a challenge for the country’s development, simplicity of business processes, suggestions were also received from professionals, and regarding improvement in tourism and education policy and related to women, widows, old age, youth and students.
Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal said that the party had expected that, on an average, it would get 500 to 700 suggestions per assembly segment, but more than 1000 suggestions have been received on an average, much more than expected. He said that the way people have given us their suggestions openly as a blessing to PM Modi.
On this occasion, State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, MLA Vinod Chamoli, Deepti Rawat, State Media In charge Manveer Chauhan, Dr Devendra Bhasin, Asha Nautiyal and a large number of party officer bearers and senior party workers were present.
