Mussoorie, 19 Dec: A cultural programme was held at Mussoorie Girls’ Inter College here, today, on the occasion of Founder’s Day Celebrations. The Chief Guest, Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, and Chairman Anuj jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Principal Anita Dabral presented the detailed annual report of the school. She said that, with limited resources, the school endeavoured to establish, maintain and strengthen the achievements of students. Education was about empowering students to discover themselves, and supporting them in developing their natural curiosity and interests.
The programme presented by the girls depicted the Himachal, Punjab and Uttarakhand cultures, which enthralled the audience present. The students dressed in colourful costumes synchronised perfectly with the music. On the occasion, prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners and runners-ups.
MLA Ganesh Joshi appreciated the programme and the talent of the students. He appreciated the work being done by the school management in building the future of the students. He assured all possible help for the development of the school and also promised to provide blazers to the students. He revealed he was also negotiating with ONGC for the renovation of the school as the building was in bad condition.
Chairman Anuj Gupta also appreciated the programme and exhibition put up by the students and said the Mussoorie Municipal Council would further develop the school. Present on the occasion were Chandralekha Tripathi, former MLA Jot Singh Gunsola, former municipal chairman Manmohan Singh Mall, Deveshwari Nawal, Madhu Juyal, Narendra Sahni, Ranbir Singh, Arvind Semwal, Manoj Rayal, Anuj Tayal and many others.
