IISWC holds ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ at Ghaisain Village

DEHRADUN, 19 Dec: ICAR-IISWC organised a ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ at Village Ghaisain, Raipur Block, under the Clean India Mission. On the occasion, Director of the Institute Dr PR Ojasvi requested the people to do their level best to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. He said that a healthy nation would be the result of clean villages. Dr Bankey Bihari, Head, HRD&SS Division, apprised the gathering about the Clean India Mission. He urged them to contribute to the mission. Dr Indu Rawat, Scientist and Nodal Officer of the Clean India Mission, spoke about the objectives of the mission and requested all the people to maintain clean and green surroundings.
Around 250 farmers from several villages like Sauda Saroli, Badasi, Ghaisain, Kalimati, Pawwala Soda, Koti Mechafe, Bhagwanpur, Talai and Katkor of Raipur Block participated and were made aware of the mission. SS Shrimali, Dr Lek Chand, Dr DR Sena, Dr Trisha Roy, SK Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, CS Tiwari, Amit Chauhan, KR Joshi, Umesh Kumar, SN Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
