Dehradun, 31 Dec: Olympus High School hosted its Junior Activity Show for students from Play Group to Class V, providing a dynamic platform for young participants to display their talents through a variety of theatre performances, songs, and dances. The event aimed to foster teamwork, confidence, and learning among the students.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Managing Director Dr Kunal Shamshere Malla and Principal Dr Anuradha Pundir Malla. In his address, Dr Kunal Shamshere Malla encouraged the young performers to exhibit confidence and expressed gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support of the event.
The event featured a range of engaging activities. Notable performances included Hindi theatre pieces “Aasmaan Gir Raha Hain” and “Papa Jaldi Aana”, as well as an English skit based on Malgudi Days – The Astrologer.

The junior choir captivated the audience with its renditions of the devotional Ram Bhajan and Christmas carols.
Students from Kindergarten to Class III delighted spectators with lively dances to ‘Foot Loose,’ ‘Bhumroo’ and ‘Nepali Keti’. A contemporary dance conveying the importance of saving trees, and a tableau on Mahabharata by Class VI and V students, were particularly impactful, earning applause from the parents. The highlight of the event was the Hindi play, “Papa Jaldi Aa Jaana”, which was conceptualised and directed by Dr Kunal Shamshere Malla. This play poignantly depicted the bond between parents and children.
The event successfully achieved its objective of providing children with an opportunity to express themselves, learn new things, and build confidence. The show concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Pre-Primary coordinator, who commended the participants for their energetic performances and encouraged them to continue engaging in such activities in the future.
