One killed as car overturns on Mussoorie Road

Mussoorie, 6 Jan: A car, number BR-225-0007, suddenly went out of control and fell onto the road at a lower level near the Mussoorie ITBP gate on Library Road. One youth died on the spot, while two youths and a girl were rescued by the Police and Fire Service. They were brought to St Mary’s Hospital by 108 ambulance.
The doctors, on examining the three injured, referred one of the youths to a higher centre in Dehradun as his condition was serious. The other two are receiving treatment at St Mary’s hospital.
SSI Vijay Bharti told media persons that, on receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the site and with the help of firemen and ITBP personnel, rescued the injured and brought them to the hospital. He said Milan Kumar Chaube (21), s/o Sunil Kumar Chaube, r/o Anurag Chowk, Pacific Estate, Dehradun, died on the spot, while Rishivak (23), s/o Shailendra Kumar Tripathi, r/o Anurag Chowk, Sohini Bajaj (22), d/o Deepak Bajaj, r/o Anurag Chowk, and Yuvraj Chaube (23) were also injured and sent to St Mary’s Hospital. He said that they were coming to Mussoorie to celebrate the birthday of the deceased’s father. All four are students of UPES. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination. Information about the incident had been given to the relatives.
