CM participates in Dharma Sansad hosted by AajTak in Rishikesh

Rishikesh, 28 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Dharma Sansad programme organised by Aaj Tak at Aastha Path, Muni Ki Reti, in Tehri district here today.
During the discussion, the CM described the Char Dham Yatra as the lifeline of Uttarakhand, attracting lakhs of devotees annually. He assured that every possible effort has been made to ensure a safe, well-organised, and smooth pilgrimage. Besides this, he also insisted on preserving the spiritual essence and nature of the Char Dham Yatra during the discussion.
In the programme hosted by Aajtak News Channel, the CM also reminded the audience of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special affection for Uttarakhand. Dhami claimed that under the leadership of PM Modi, significant progress has been made in the master plan for Badrinath Dham, reconstruction efforts at Baba Kedarnath Dham, and the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line. During his visit to Mana, a border village in Chamoli, PM Modi declared that every border village would be now known as the first village of the country and urged tourists to allocate 5 percent of their expenditure to purchasing local products. Modi is also the first Prime Minister to stay overnight in Kedarnath.
The CM also noted the initiation of winter Yatra in Uttarakhand and he promoted year-round visits by devotees and tourists in the state. He credited the Prime Minister for promoting winter travel during his visit to Uttarkashi, emphasising that every location in Uttarakhand is a destination in itself.
The CM also condemned the recent terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir and described the act as cowardly and strongly expressed confidence in the Indian Army’s response.
Dhami emphasised the spiritual and religious essence of the Char Dham Yatra, urging adherence to its rules. He assured devotees of a safe and smooth pilgrimage and extended an invitation for large-scale participation.
In respect of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the CM likened its benefits to the life-giving waters of ‘Mother’ Ganga, asserting its universal advantages. He also highlighted the implementation of a strict anti-copying law, which has facilitated the provision of over 22,000 government jobs to youth in the state within three years.
