Kanpur, 2 Feb: Senior journalist, author, media educationist and filmmaker Prof SS Dogra was honoured by the Indian Disability Darts Association (IDDA) during the 1st Para Darts National Championship 2026, held at Malik Guest House, Rama Devi.
On the occasion, educationist Dr Siddhanshu Rai, Chairman of United Public School Indra Mohan Rohatgi, founder of Malik Guest House, Ranbir Malik, and prominent Rajasthan-based social worker associated with the Red Cross Society, Pankaj Raj Mehra felicitated Prof Dogra by presenting him with a memento and a ceremonial stole.
The honour was conferred in recognition of Prof Dogra’s significant contribution to the empowerment of persons with disabilities and for promoting an inclusive sports culture through impactful media and creative initiatives. He was specially appreciated for his award-winning inspirational documentary “Uttarakhandi Warriors”, based on the life of international para-athlete Harish Chaudhary, along with his acclaimed books and the sports-motivational song “Hum Khelenge – Desh Khilega.”
IDDA President Ankur Gupta and General Secretary Mahendra Singh stated that Prof Dogra’s powerful writing, creative vision and effective media outreach have played a vital role in strengthening the identity, recognition and respect of para-athletes at both national and international levels.
