Quantum University, ITC hold 6-day Technical Training Prog

Roorkee, 1 Nov: In a significant stride towards employee development, Quantum University partnered with ITC to conduct a 6-day Technical Training Programme. Held at ITC from 26 October to 1 November, this collaborative initiative saw Quantum University’s expert faculty and industry practitioners delivering a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the specific needs of ITC employees. The programme aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle real-world challenges and excel in their professional careers.

ITC is one of India’s foremost private sector companies with a diversified presence in FMCG, Hotels, Packaging, Paperboards & Specialty Papers, and Agri-Business. ITC’s aspiration to be an exemplar in sustainability practices is manifest in its status as the only company in the world, of its size and diversity, to be carbon, water, and solid waste recycling positive. ITC also runs a skilling and vocational training programme to help unemployed youth earn their livelihoods.

The key figures who attended this initiative were Factory Manager Surjeet Singh Roria and Human Resources Manager Jeewan Bora, who both expressed their appreciation to Quantum University for the success of this programme.

The training program encompassed a diverse range of technical topics like Manufacturing Technology, Basic Mechatronics, Basics of PLC, Engineering, Machine Drawing, etc., that are highly relevant to ITC’s operations, providing participants with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the subject matter. The expert faculty at Quantum University, along with industry practitioners, ensured that the curriculum was not just informative but also engaging, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.

Surjeet Singh Roria emphasised, “The programme has been instrumental in equipping our employees with the latest technical knowledge and skills.
