MoUs worth more than Rs 20,000 crores signed during road show in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, 1 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a road show organised here, today, in connection with the Global Investors’ Summit to be held in Dehradun on 8 and 9 December.
During the road show, the Chief Minister also held meetings with various industry groups and invited all the prospective investors to the upcoming summit in Dehradun. The CM is accompanied by Finance Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal on this trip.
In the presence of CM Dhami, MoUs worth Rs 20,000 crores were signed with more than 50 industry groups, including Shital Group and Company, Rankers Hospital, Zivaya Wellness Pvt Ltd, Astral Pipes, Warmora Tiles, Gujarat Ambuja MKC Insa Infrastructure Ltd and Amul, on this occasion.
Apart from this, MoUs were also signed with M/s Commodity Trading, AD Mehta Logistics, Friends & Friends Group of Companies, Parekh Ventures LLP, V Milak Enterprises, Arya Ocean Logistics Park, Hindustan Oil Industries, Supac Industries, Shreeji Group, NB Group, Shantakaram Nigam, Apollo Group of Institutions, Panchakarma Hotels and Resorts (Trident), Sabarmati University, Leela Hotels and Resorts, Hops Healthcare, Prime Fresh, Dutt Motors, Nexus Infratech Pvt. Ltd amongst others.
Dhami said that the road show being held in Ahmedabad is the sixth held, so far, this year in connection with the Global Investors’ Summit in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister observed that Gujarat is the land of Lord Krishna. This is also the land of great men like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. This land has given India a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi. Under his leadership, India has created a distinct identity on the global stage. Today, India’s respect is increasing in the world, Dhami stressed.
The CM claimed that the Uttarakhand Government is continuously working for the development of industries. Keeping in mind the suggestions of people associated with industry, 30 new policies have been framed and implemented. Several policies have been further simplified. All the suggestions received in connection with the Uttarakhand Global Investors’ Summit are also being implemented. A single window system has been created to promote investment. The approval process and grounding work related to the proposals is being made more effective.
The Chief Minister reminded that it has been 23 years since the state of Uttarakhand was formed. After it creation, a special industrial package was given to Uttarakhand by the then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Due to this special industrial package, investment had started flowing in Uttarakhand rapidly.
Dhami further stated that there are immense possibilities for investment in Uttarakhand. A land bank of 6 thousand acres has been created in the state. More incentives will be given for those investing in the hills. The natural beauty and better human resources of Uttarakhand are attracting investors. He claimed that work is being done to balance ecology and economy. The road, air and rail as well as the ropeway connectivity is expanding rapidly, he said, adding that, so far, this year, more than 52 lakh devotees have visited the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. In Kumaon division, work is being done at a rapid pace under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.
Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that there is a peaceful environment in Uttarakhand for setting up industries. In order to increase investment rapidly in the state, continuous work is being done under the leadership of the Chief Minister for simplification of policies and implementation of new policies. Establishment of industries requires transportation, power supply and good human resources and Uttarakhand has these facilities. He claimed that Uttarakhand is providing the cheapest electricity as compared to all other states. Connectivity has expanded rapidly in the state.
Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Director General, Industries, Rohit Meena and investors associated with the industrial sector were present on this occasion.
