Dehradun, 17 Oct: The newly restructured Dental Wing of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is ready to serve society. The Dental Department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was established in the year 2002. Presently, the department has been restructured and equipped with modern machines and specialist services.
The restructured Dental Department was inaugurated, today, by the Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr Yashbir Dewan. While addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that the restructured and fully renovated Dental Department shall provide all the modern facilities to dental patients. All types of dental procedures will be available to the patients under one roof.
The Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr Ajay Pandita, while addressing the gathering, stated that the Dental Department has also acquired digital radiography (RVG) technology. In this RVG technique, the risk of exposure to radiation is minimised.
HOD, Dental Department, Dr Bhavna Malik added informed that her team would deal with all the diseased conditions of the teeth and jaws in all age groups.
Along with the general dental treatment, like cleaning of teeth (scaling), Root Canal Treatment, Cosmetic Dental Treatment is also available. The facility of operating on very young patients for example infants is also provided. Treatment of Mouth Cancer, infections of the teeth, cyst and tumours of jaw, jaw joint problems can be dealt with at the department, as also treatment of injuries or fractures of teeth or jaw due to accidents. Gummy smile, ulcerations and pyorrhea will be treated by specialists.
Dr Bhawna Malik confirmed that facilities like bone grafting, straightening of misaligned teeth (braces), Zirconia Cap, and affixing artificial teeth, complete dentures are also available.
