Rudraprayag SP initiates welfare measures for cops

Rudraprayag, 7 Jan: After taking charge as SP, Rudraprayag, Ajai Singh has launched three schemes for the welfare of the police force. This includes online casual leave application/sanction within an hour. Also, launch of the buddy scheme in the force. Someone of the same rank would opt for a buddy and each will keep the full details of other such as health, personal and professional issues, etc. The Best Buddy of the Month Award will be given for doing this work efficiently. Each buddy pair will adopt a family in the area giving priority to senior citizens and the needy and meet them at least twice a month to hear and address their problems as much as possible.
The third initiative is implementation of an impartial process for all to avail themselves of long earned leave in a year, according to the needs of policepersons on priority basis. A women officers’ welfare platform has also been launched in which all 70 officers are part of a WhatsApp group to share their issues online. The platform will be monitored by a woman sub-inspectorm who will bring the issues directly to the notice of the SP. In addition, to monitor any complaints related to sexual harassment at the work place, the redressal of complaints committee has been reorganised in the district under a gazetted officer and four other female officers.
