Dehradun, 29 May: Doon golfer Samriddh Chand Thakur (8) played a wonderful round in the National IGU feeder golf championship at Nainital to bag the winner’s trophy in Category E. Samriddh played 2 over on the first day with 2 birdies and 4 pars. On the final day, he showed his fantastic performance by finishing level par with 2 birdies and 6 pars. In this category, Aman Sharma from Delhi won the 2nd prize while Danish from Ludhiana got the 3rd position.
Last week, Samriddh participated in the prestigious Governor’s Golf Cup Tournament in which he was tied in 2nd position in under 12 years age category. Ivaan Agarwal (9) from Delhi won the 1st position with a two strokes difference. Samriddh defeated many golfers in the Governor’s Cup who were above his age.
