SDM leads sanitisation drive in Mussoorie

MUSSOORIE, 7 Jun: SDM, Mussoorie, Varun Chaudhary inspected the Laxmanpuri area along with Mussoorie Executive Officer Ashutosh Sati and a team of the Health Department. They distributed rations to about 40 families living in the IDH building and instructed them on maintaining cleanliness. On this occasion, the area was also sanitised by the municipal administration.
People were given tips by Dr Deepak Kalra on prevention of corona virus infection. Dr Kalra said that, to avoid corona infection, people had to be themselves vigilant and follow the advisories issued by the government and health department.
The SDM inspected the garbage collection point of the municipality near the IDH Building and instructed the Executive Officer to formulate a concrete policy for garbage disposal in the area. He said that a joint sanitation drive was being run by the administration and the municipality. With further unlock measures from 8 June, the administration and the police needed to be fully alert. He also declared that people coming from outside to Mussoorie will have to be home quarantined for 7 days. Four institutional quarantine centres had been set up in Mussoorie, with Health Department teams deployed there. The Hotel and Restaurant Owners had been instructed to follow the guidelines issued by the Central Government.
