KOTDWAR, 5 Sep: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Speaker and MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan attended the ‘Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony’ organised by the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Utthan Samiti at the Nagar Nigam auditorium here, today, as the Chief Guest. During the event, she honoured teachers for their exceptional contributions.
During the ceremony, the Speaker praised the hard work and dedication of the teaching community. She said, “Teachers are the pillars of society. It is through your hard work and dedication that children’s future becomes bright. You not only light the lamp of knowledge but also provide direction and inspiration to society. Today, we have gathered to honour your contributions on Teachers’ Day.” She urged teachers to maintain excellence in their work and understand their responsibility towards education. “The efforts you make in the field of education have a profound impact on society. You bring about positive changes in children’s lives and show them the right direction. Your role is invaluable, and society will always remember your contributions.”
Ritu Khanduri Bhushan also noted that the appreciation of teachers’ hard work and contributions should not be limited to just one day but recognised every day. “The value of your hard work and dedication is assessed over time, and we will continue to appreciate your contributions.”
In her address, Ritu Khanduri also paid tribute to Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali. She highlighted that Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali, the hero of the Peshawar incident, was an epitome of communal harmony and his contributions to the freedom struggle are unforgettable. His life, filled with patriotism, would continue to inspire all towards national service.
Various teachers were honoured for their outstanding work and contributions to the field of education during the ceremony. The Speaker motivated them to continue fulfilling their responsibilities with dedication and work towards a brighter future for society.
On this occasion, the Speaker also appreciated the efforts of the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Utthan Samiti and expressed gratitude for holding of the honour ceremony. The event was a significant day to remember the crucial role of teachers and show respect for them.
