Dehradun, 19 May: District Magistrate (DM), Dehradun, Savin Bansal has shared that to ensure swift registration under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), special camps will be organised across all wards of Municipal Corporation Dehradun from 21 May to 9 June 2025. Bansal informed that, as per the notification issued by Uttarakhand Government, Home Section-5, registrations must be completed under various categories on the UCC portal. In view of this, Chief Municipal Health Officer, Municipal Corporation, Dehradun, has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee mandatory registrations as per the prescribed norms.
The DM directed that supervisors appointed for each ward will coordinate with Common Service Centres (CSC) to facilitate registration on the UCC portal. They will identify suitable locations for the registration camps and ensure all necessary arrangements on scheduled dates. Extensive awareness campaigns will be conducted in the respective wards ahead of the camps, informing residents about the registration process and required documents.
To enhance outreach, banners and promotional materials will be displayed at camp venues, and public representatives have been engaged to further disseminate information regarding the camps. Efforts will be made to ensure maximum participation and seamless registration under the UCC framework.
Following each day’s registration under the Municipal Corporation area, detailed progress reports will be submitted to the email ID of the Jal Jeevan Mission Cell at the Chief Development Officer’s office by 5 p.m.
The DM further emphasised on strict compliance with directives to ensure maximum registrations on the UCC portal within the designated timeframe.
