Dehradun, 19 May: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Prant Pracharak Shailendra today stated that by the Sangh’s centenary year, a network of service centres will be established across the country to reach out to more than 35 crore people still facing hardships in respect of the basic and the essential facilities. He emphasised that achieving this goal is crucial to realising the vision of a prosperous and glorious India.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Keshav Physiotherapy Centre run by Jankalyan Nyas at the RSS office in Indira Nagar here, today, Shailendra quoted a Sanskrit verse, “Na twaham kamaye rajyam na swargam napunarbhavam, kamaye dukhataptanam praninamartinashanam,” meaning, “Neither do I desire kingdom, nor heaven, nor rebirth. I desire only the alleviation of suffering of beings tormented by sorrow.” He added that several service projects are already operational across the state with this very objective.

He also mentioned the need for committed workers who can dedicate their time with a spirit of service, noting that many service-minded individuals in society are willing to contribute. He outlined the existing service network in the state, which includes 125 Sanskar Kendras (value education centres), 60 sewing centres, one school, four libraries, five hostels, five computer centres, eight health centres, five village development centres, 11 advanced hospitals, and a multi-storey accommodation facility with 421 beds near Rishikesh, named Madhav Seva Ashram, for the relatives of patients. Additionally, numerous permanent service initiatives are running in service settlements and rural areas, with hostels operating in remote tribal regions.

He also reiterated the message of “Nar Seva Narayan Seva” (service to humanity is service to God) and urged everyone to contribute to serving the needy.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Nyas, Kailash Melana, shared insights into future plans for service expansion in the state. The event was successfully managed by Nyas Secretary Pawan Sharma. Social worker Colonel Madan Mohan Choubey, trustees Surendra Mittal and Uday Pal Singh, along with Nagar Sanghchalak Chandra Mohan Gaud, Jagmohan Rana, Udayveer, Prant Samajik Samrasta Sanyojak Rajendra Pant, Anil Nanda, Neeraj Mittal, Nandkishore, MLA Savita Kapoor, Bharat Vikas Parishad state president Nisha Agarwal, and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
