Sports Minister boosts morale of State’s Players in Slalom Final

Pauri/Tehri, 6 Feb: Sports Minister Rekha Arya witnessed the final and semi-final matches of the Extreme Slalom competition held at Phool Chatti in Pauri district today to encourage the Uttarakhand players participating in the event. The Sports Minister awarded medals to the winners of Extreme Slalom and Beach Volleyball.

On this occasion, Sports Minister Rekha Arya stated that it was an exciting experience to witness the skill of players battling the challenges of the swift currents of the Ganga. She congratulated Amit Thapa from Tehri district for winning the Silver Medal in the K1 Men’s Final event of Extreme Slalom.

Afterwards, Sports Minister Rekha Arya presented medals to the winners of the Beach Volleyball event held in Shivpuri, Tehri district, and congratulated them for their remarkable performance and victory.

Speaking at the event, Minister Rekha Arya mentioned that Uttarakhand has truly embodied the spirit of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ in hosting these games. As a sports minister, she expressed happiness that the guests were leaving with pleasant memories of Devbhoomi.

The event was attended by Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, General Secretary of the Olympic Association DK Singh, DOC Bilkis Meer, Kuldeep Singh, and Kristof, a coach who came from Greece to provide training.
