State Arogya Fair begins today in Haridwar

DEHRADUN, 7 Feb: A 3 day State Arogya Fair, organised jointly by the Union Ministry of Ayush, Department of Ayush, Uttarakhand, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will start tomorrow at Rishikul Ground, Haridwar. Arogya aims to spread awareness and integrate Ayush into the daily lifestyle of Uttarakhand’s people and will be held from 8 to 10 February.
The Fair will be inaugurated by Harak Singh Rawat, Minister of Ayush & Ayush Education.
A large varietiy of health products for treating diabetes, heart diseases, blood pressure, joint pains, geriatric problems and common ailments will be on display at the Fair.
Free Ayush clinics and consultation with Doctors will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the fair, along with free distribution of medicines.
Free Learning Sessions will be held for visitors and experts with themes like Role of Ayurveda in Heart Diseases, Naturopathy for Public Health, Diabetes, Marma Therapy, AYUSH Accreditation, Yoga for common diseases, dental extraction by Jalandhar Band technique, pulse diagnosis, common use of medicinal plants, life style and mental health, maternal & child healthcare & Homeopathy for public health.
Entry is free to the public from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on all days from 8 to 10 February.
