Haridwar, 26 Dec: Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan on Tuesday participated in the concluding day of the three-day spiritual festival organised on the occasion of completion of 25 years as Juna Peethadhishwar by Swami Awadheshanand Giri and on the occasion of Shri Dutt Jayanti at Shri Harihar Ashram in Kankhal, here.
Taking the blessings of all the seers at the spiritual festival, the Speaker praised the tenure of Juna Peethadhishwar Swami Avadheshanand. She said that the life of Awadheshanand Giri has been dedicated to public service, national service and Sanatan Dharma. He has done a lot of work to advance Sanatan Dharma and culture.
Bhusan also appreciated that Swami Awadheshanand also imparts education to children by opening schools and works for health and society.
She added that his mission is unique in that combines spirituality with social responsibility. He has made people more socially responsible, better citizens and happily tolerant. He is raising a generation of spiritually awakened people who contribute positively to making the world a better place.
On this occasion, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, Brijesh Pathak, BJP’s Shiv Prakash, Swami Chidanand Maharaj, President, Dev Prem Seva Mission, Ashish Gautam and others were also present.
