CM reviews preparations for Investors’ Summit

Dehradun, 7 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today reviewed the projects being dealt with by the departments for investment at the Global Investors’ Summit. The meeting was held at his official residence here.
The Chief Minister instructed the officers to incorporate whatever amendments are required to further improve the policies made by various departments to rapidly boost investment in the state. He said that all the departmental secretaries should pay special attention to ensure that projects are well grounded and finalised by the time the Investors’ Summit starts. Rapidly increasing investment in the state is the top priority of the state government, he stressed. He further directed that all the departmental secretaries should hold regular meetings with the departmental officers on this.
The CM also directed the officials to monitor the land banks available with various departments through the portal. It is important to use the land properly for investment. He also instructed the officials that whatever investment proposals are coming, their grounding should be done soon. Whatever plan is being made by the departments to increase investment in the state, it should be implemented in a well-planned manner, the policies simplified as far as possible and all the permissions granted to the investors on time.
Dhami, in particular, reviewed the work being done by the departments in tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, health, AYUSH, urban development, energy, IT, sports, skill development and technical education, higher and secondary education, transport, in addition to other priority sectors to increase investment in the state. He instructed all the secretaries to fix the responsibility of the officers of their departments to speed up the work. The CM emphasised that more effective efforts are needed to increase investment in the hill areas. The overall development of the state is possible only with the development of the hills.
