DEHRADUN, 16 Feb: The creative side of St. Patrick’s Academy was showcased as it held the Art and Science Expo and the exhibition by the Image minds (Creative Lab in the School). On the same day, the Stars Day was celebrated with much pride by honouring the children for their academic excellence. The function was graced by HK Chhabra, Principal of Doon Cambridge School, the School Principal, Bro. Joseph, the staff, the students and their happy parents. The programme began with a magnificent prayer dance that captured the imagination of all present. The auditorium resounded with applause as the certificates and trophies were given to the children. The choir lifted up the spirits in its mellifluous rendition of song ‘Top of the World’.
The Chief Guest, Chhabra, in her address stressed on imbibing humane qualities which would benefit the students and in turn the society and the nation. She lauded the confidence and poise delineated by the children of St. Patrick’s Academy. It was a proud moment for all present to see their work recognized and appreciated.
ICREAS, put up by the Imageminds, was a treat to watch. The creative side of the children came alive through meticulously arranged artifacts by the children.
The programme ended with the school observing two minutes silence in memory of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwana attack.
