Dehradun, 26 Sep: Prof. Sudeb Dasgupta of IIT Roorkee said today that to make the country a hub of semiconductors, a thorough understanding of industry along with training is important for the students.
Prof Dasgupta was addressing a seminar organised at Graphic Era Deemed University on the topic, ‘Decadal plans in Semiconductors: India’s Semiconductor Mission’. He said that technological advancements, indigenous manufacturing, skilled workforce and collaborative ecosystem will prove to be helpful in creating a strong base for making the country a semiconductor manufacturing hub on a global level. With the help of slides, he informed the students about various opportunities and challenges available in the semiconductor industry.
The seminar was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. HoD Dr Md Irfanul Hasan, Dr Varij Panwar, Dr Rishi Prakash, Dr Peyush Pandey, Dr Mridul Gupta, other faculty members and students were present at the seminar.
A programme on the topic ‘Stocks pe charcha’ was also organised in Graphic Era Deemed University. Insurance Advisor Sarthak Gupta gave information to the students regarding stocks trends, strategies and investment. The programme was organised by the Commerce Department.
