Hyderabad, 13 Oct: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated in the local festival, “Alai-Balai”, in Hyderabad on Sunday.
On this occasion, he emphasised, “Despite cultural, political, or social differences, we are all connected through our traditions, and by coming together, we grow stronger as a community.”
The Governor added, “Just as Dussehra symbolises the victory of good over evil, Alai-Balai inspires us to embrace unity in diversity, peace, and harmony. Such festivals play a crucial role in preserving our country’s rich cultural heritage.” He emphasised the importance of keeping these traditions alive to maintain the spirit of unity in India’s diversity.
