Dehradun, 29 Aug: Secretary, Information Technology, Shailesh Bagoli and Director, ITDA, Nitika Khandelwal met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat here on Monday.
They both presented him the silver medal and trophy along with the National E-Governance Award 2023 presented to the Apni Sarkar Portal at the 26th E-Governance Conference organised by the State Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) at Indore. This award also includes a trophy and a prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
Chief Minister Dhami said that, as most of the land of the state comes under the hilly region, the common citizens there had to come from far-flung areas to the towns/districts to avail themselves of people-centric services. Due to this, there was a lot of inconvenience to the common citizens and time and money were wasted. Keeping this in mind, the ITDA was tasked to develop an integrated portal, “Apni Sarkar”. Presently, 575 citizen-centric services are being provided through it. The portal includes features such as timely service delivery, application status tracking, certificates integrated with DigiLocker, personalised citizen dashboards and customisable officer dashboards.
Chief Minister Dhami said that this portal was helping streamline the administrative processes besides providing valuable suggestions to the citizens and officials. He said that it is a matter of honour for all that the Apni Sarkar e-portal of the state government has been recognised at the national level. This award will also help provide more momentum to the initiatives being taken in the field of e-governance in the state. Further promotion and accessibility of innovative services like “Apno School Apnu Praman”, “DoorStep Delivery” and “Apni Sarkar” portal enable the Government of Uttarakhand to provide faceless, cashless, secure, efficient and transparent citizen-centric services to its citizens and it is providing the facility of providing through paperless processes. With all these specialties, this portal has been able to get recognition at the national level in the emerging technology in providing citizen-centric services. This will further help in promoting e-governance in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Additional Secretary Ashish Srivastava, Additional Director Girish Gunwant, Joint Director Ram Swaroop Uniyal, etc., were present on this occasion.
