Dehradun, 27 Aug: Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilisers, Jagat Prakash Nadda has taken positive initiative on two important proposals placed before the Central Government by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for expansion of medical education and health facilities in Uttarakhand.
Union Minister Nadda, in his letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has informed that the proposals related to the establishment of a super specialty hospital and a paramedical college under the Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University have been sent for examination at the departmental level.
Regarding the proposal for the establishment of a super-specialty hospital, the Union Ministry of Health is reviewing the matter with the relevant department/division. Similarly, the proposal for the establishment of a paramedical college under the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University is also being reviewed by the Union Ministry of Health with the relevant division.
By proposing the establishment of these two institutions to the central government, Chief Minister Dhami has taken a significant initiative towards expanding high-level medical and paramedical education, as well as specialised health services, in Uttarakhand.
The establishment of a super-specialty hospital is expected to strengthen high-level medical facilities for the treatment of serious and complex diseases in the state. The establishment of a paramedical college will also help develop trained paramedical human resources and lay an important foundation for providing essential technical and support staff to the state’s health services.
The Chief Minister described the examination of both proposals at the central government level as an important step towards strengthening Uttarakhand’s health and medical education system.
