Unprecedented achievements seen in past 9 years: Dhami

Dehradun, 15 Jun: Addressing the participants of ‘Beneficiary Conference’ programme organised in Jakhan here today, as part of the Grand Public relationship campaign being run by the BJP across the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami asserted that unprecedented work has been done for the overall development of the country in the past 9 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the past 9 years, more than 4 crore pucca houses have been constructed for poor families. Dhami claimed that such a revolution in the construction of houses for the poor has never been seen before in the history of independent India.
The Chief Minister said that in the year 2014, the people of the country had expressed their trust in Narendra Modi. Today, this trust of the public has yielded positive results in form of the train of prosperity running fast on the “tracks of development” during the period of nine years from 2014 to 2023. In these nine yearsunprecedented development in all sectors ranging from health to education, from free food grains to free health treatment, from improving the livelihood of farmers to arranging housing for the poor and from modernisation of the army to ensuring security at the borders, from delivery to arms and mobile production. Every citizen has been given vaccines by the central government led by Modi, unprecedented work has been done in every field. Earlier India used to depend on other countries for medicines and vaccines. During the Corona period, under the leadership of the Modi government, India not only developed two indigenous vaccines for Covid but also supplied them to many countries. The Central Government has done a historic task of providing food security to 80 crore people during Corona and is still continuing to do so.
Dhami said that it is the result of the far-reaching thinking of the Prime Minister that more than 50 crore of Jan Dhan accounts were opened for the poor in the country. In these nine years, more than nine crore Ujjwala gas connections were given to the poor. Abrogation of Article 370, construction of the grand temple of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, construction of the grand corridor of Kashi Vishwanath, the master plan of Badrinath Dham and reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham are some such important achievements of the Modi Government which will be remembered by generations to come. Today India has become the fifth-largest economy in the world.
Pushkar Singh Dhami further said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, development works are being done at a rapid pace in Uttarakhand. Three gas cylinders are being given free of cost to 1.81 lakh poor families by the state government. The state government has given horizontal reservation for the women of the state, a draft of the Uniform Civil Code is being prepared and strict laws have been enacted to stop forced and mass conversions, besides enacting a very strict anti copying law to stop rigging of competitive exams. Statehood agitationists have also provided reservations in state government jobs.  Scholarship have been announced for the students of the state pursuing higher education. Many other works are being done in the direction of strengthening the infrastructure of the state and making the state self-reliant.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, historical works have been done in every field of development in the country in the past 9 years. India has got a new identity at the global level because of the Prime Minister. The respect he is getting in foreign countries is the respect of every Indian. Public welfare schemes are being run by the Central Government keeping in mind all sections of the society. The people standing on the last line of society are getting the benefits of the schemes. Uttarakhand is moving fast under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The decisions taken by the Chief Minister like Uniform Civil Code, strict anti-copying law and strict law to stop forced conversions in the state are being appreciated all over the country. Many works are being done in the state to empower women, farmers and youth.
On this occasion Member of Parliament Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Mahanagar President of BJP Siddharth Umesh Aggarwal and National Vice President of BJP Yuva Morcha Neha Joshi were amongst those present.
