International Vaishya Maha Sammelan concludes in Doon

Dehradun, 11 May: The International Vaishya Maha Sammelan concluded successfully at a private hotel, here, on Saturday. Addressing the Maha Sammelan as the Chief Guest, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kapil Agarwal said that the Vaishya community has always contributed to nation building. The Vaishya community has played a leading role in making the nation economically prosperous.
He said that Hindus were tortured during the Mughal period. Hindus were forced to change their religion. People of many castes of Hindu society changed their religion. But the Vaishya community endured the atrocities of the Mughals but did not change their religion. Agrawal said that the Vaishya community has made a great contribution to protecting Sanatan Dharma. This can never be forgotten.
International President of International Vaishya Maha Sammelan, Ashok Agarwal said that the Vaishya community is at the forefront in social service. He appealed to all the people of the Vaishya community to write Vaishya before their names during caste census.
On this occasion, State President of International Vaishya Samaj, Uttarakhand, Ram Gopal Goyal said that more than 100 representatives from nine states of North India participated in the Maha Sammelan. The states which included representatives were Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Punjab.
The conference was addressed by International General Secretary Rajeev Mittal, Senior Vice President, Uttarakhand, Sudhir Kumar Gupta, State Secretary Deepak Singhal, State President of Yuva Vaishya Maha Sammelan, Lachhu Gupta, State President of Women’s Cell Rama Goyal, etc.
The issue of Premchand Agarwal, who was a cabinet minister and resigned from the Uttarakhand government, dominated the International Vaishya Maha Sammelan. Uttarakhand State Vice President Sudhir Kumar Gupta raised the issue of Premchand Agarwal. He said that Premchand Agarwal was framed as part of a conspiracy and was forced to resign. “We should have strongly presented his version, and the society should have launched a big movement in this matter.”
Everyone strongly supported Sudhir Kumar Gupta’s statement on this issue. Sudhir Gupta said that Premchand Agarwal was born in Uttarakhand and grew up here and some people want to make him an outsider as part of a conspiracy. He said, “I was born in Uttarakhand and have worked for the development of the state. Tomorrow, people will start calling us outsiders as part of a conspiracy.
Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kapil Agarwal also supported Sudhir Kumar Gupta’s raising of the issue and said that the community should have shown more unity in this matter, and sent letters to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister. He said the unity of the community is its strength.
