Dehradun, 20 July: Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Prof Sanjay Jasola made a courtesy call on Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) and gave a presentation regarding the dashboard created by the university to bring all the private universities of Uttarakhand on one platform on Saturday. The university was earlier requested by the Governor to prepare a dashboard with the aim of bringing private universities on one platform.
While giving the presentation, the Vice Chancellor said that all the private universities of the state will be included in this dashboard, in which information about the achievements of universities, best practices, academic excellence, innovation and research, patents, MoUs, placements, etc., will be available. Through this, a university will be able to coordinate on innovative initiatives, innovation and research being adopted by other universities and other subjects.
On this occasion, Lt Gen Singh said that universities have an important role in the development of the country and the state. He said that the private universities of the state are doing better work in the field of education development and they are making their mark in the country and the world. He said that the purpose of creating this dashboard is to bring all the private universities on one platform and communicate and coordinate with each other. The country as well as the state should benefit from the research and innovation of the universities and they should take advantage of each other’s experiences. He said that Dehradun has been a pioneer in the field of school education in itself. The achievements and progress of the state in the field of higher education are also commendable.
The Governor also praised Abhinav Prajapati, a student of the university, who prepared this dashboard and wished him all the best for the future.
