Mussoorie, 18 May: Following the instructions of the SSP, the Kotwal, Mussoorie, Santosh Kunwar held a meeting with all the outpost in-charges, sub-inspectors and sub-inspectors, here, today. All the outpost in-charges will verify the credentials of outsiders, suspicious persons, hawkers, labourers, people working in hotels and shops living in their respective areas and will take action as per rules against the persons who do not provide relevant documents.
Action will also be taken against the persons who do not follow the traffic rules, to prevent accidents. Apart from this, they will run intensive checking campaigns in their respective outpost areas and make the general public aware about the misleading information spreading on social media. He instructed all the police personnel and officers to behave politely with the tourists and the local public.
