Dehradun, 2 May: Vidha Lal, a multi-faceted Kathak exponent, presented a breathtaking dance performance at Kendriya Vidhyalaya Upper Camp and Doon International School, here, today.
Vidha presented a spellbinding performance that received a standing ovation from the audience. She performed to a 21-beat Ganesh taal presented as Siva Stuti (Bhimpalasi) and exhibited beautiful movements through todas, tatkars, paran and elaborate footwork.
Richa Kumar, an attendee, said, “I was left spellbound by Vidha’s Kathak performance. Her versatile dance moves were very captivating.”
Recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Sangeet Natak Akademi for 2018, Vidha is a disciple and daughter-in-law of renowned guru and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Geetanjali Lal of Jaipur Gharana.
