Dehradun, 2 May: The Seventh All India National T-20 Cricket Championship was inaugurated by Dr S Farooq, Chairman, Paras Cricket Club, on 1 May at the Sunderpur Farm Cricket Ground.
Dr Farooq said that sports inculcated team spirit in players. Alankar gave excellent commentary during the matches.
The mission of the Club is to develop cricket from the grassroots to the international level.
The first match was played between Telangana and Haryana. The Telangana team won the match. Other teams likely to play in the tournament are from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Maharashtra. President Bilal Ahmed, Dr MR Malik, Treasurer, and other members were present on the occasion.
