DEHRADUN, 4 Feb: Prateek Tibrewal, a Welham boy, has done the School proud by securing a 100 percentile in the International Chemistry Quiz-2018 (The Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Australia).
Welham Boys’ School has produced 94 merit holders in this exam, topping the list of schools in Uttarakhand including other reputed boarding schools of the city.
Prateek has also, by securing a percentile of 99.7855 in the IIT-JEE (Mains) for the year, joined the league of toppers in Uttarakhand. This outstanding result places him in the pole position among all those who also participated from the Top Draw boarding schools in the valley.
Prateek has undoubtedly broken the common prevailing belief amongst most students and parents that in order to qualify for an entrance examination like IIT-JEE, one needs to leave a residential school and join a tuition academy. Prateek has been a consistent achiever academically and has always used his time prudently. Prateek loves playing cricket, table tennis and is a pretty voracious reader. He has represented the School at the Indian Public Schools Conference tournaments, both in cricket and table tennis.
