DEHRADUN, 4 Feb: Students of Doon Medical College organised a Cancer Awareness Rally on the occasion of World Cancer Day to create awareness about the deadly disease.
Principal of Doon Medical College, Professor Ashutosh Sayana, while talking to the media said that main motive of organising this rally was to make the common person aware of this deadly disease. He said that, in the present time, people were too much involved in their professional lives and did not take care of their health and also avoided health check-ups.
The awareness rally began from Gandhi Park and ended at the Doon Hospital. Present were Doctors, students pursuing MBBS, nursing staff and various members of the Paramedical Staff. Students of the Doon Medical College generated awareness through placards and banners.
Also, a day-long awareness seminar was also held at Doon Medical College to generate awareness. Speakers who participated were Dr Abhay Kumar, Dr Chitra Joshi, and Dr Navneet Jain.
