Dehradun, 29 Dec: Sainik Kalyan Minister Ganesh Joshi has directed the officials concerned to ensure the completion of the construction of Sainya Dham (Military Memorial) by October next year under any circumstances. These directions were issued by him during a review meeting held on Wednesday. In the meeting, Minister Joshi was informed by the officials that the construction work on the memorial is being done at a fast pace. Joshi instructed the officers to get the construction work done day and night.
Joshi stressed that the deadline of the project had been fixed for October next year and under any circumstances, the construction ought to be completed within the deadline. He also directed the officials that the work should be carried out in a planned manner and all the problems related to the land transfer would be dealt with at the earliest. He said that Uttarakhand is the land of heroes and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to build the dham in Uttarakhand. The minister said that having been a soldier himself, it is his firm resolve that the memorial be developed like Char Dhams here. He said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken special interest in this project. If any additional budget is required, it would be provided.
He said that the design of the shrine had been finalised by the government after studying various monuments of the country. He also directed the officials of the Sainik Welfare Department to complete the construction works on the Shaheed Dwar and Sainik Rest Houses in the state.
Present on this occasion were Sainik Welfare Secretary Deependra Chaudhary, Director Brigadier Amrit Lal, Naresh Chandra Durgapal and other departmental officers.
