Dehradun, 12 May: The 2nd Dehradun District Squash Tournament was played from 9 to 12 May. The tournament was played in men and women under 14, 17 and Open categories. The Dehradun District Squash Association Organising Secretary, Ramesh Bhardwaj, said that 102 players from 7 schools participated in school teams and open categories. The participating schools were: The Doon School, Welham Boys’ School, RIMC, Vantage Hall Girls School, Unison World School, Ecole Global School and Tula’s International School. Welham Boys’ School lifted the Boys Under 17 Trophy, while Vantage Hall Girls’s school lifted the Girls Under 17 Trophy. In Women’s Open category, The Unison World School emerged winners. In Under 14 Boys’ category, RIMC emerged the winner. In individual categories: Amit, Aditya Bhandari and Ansh Tripathi won gold medals in boys Under 14, 17 and Men’s open categories, respectively. Kanika Sharma, Riddhi and Unnati Tripathi were placed 1st in girls under 14, 17 and women’s open categories, respectively. Vantage Hall Girls School Principal Neeta Naidu was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony.
