Dehradun, 31 Jan: The opening ceremony of ‘The 3rd Great Swami Vivekananda Memorial Football Tournament’ was organised by Sarvagun Gyanodaya Trust, Dehradun, at the Pavilion Ground, here, today. This tournament focused on Swami Vivekananda’s ideas of keeping the youth capable of mental and physical health.
The will run till 8 February. On the occasion of the launch of the football tournament, the Chief Guest, Swami Asimatmanand Maharaj, President of Ram Krishna Mission, Dehradun, and Raj Lumba, Chairman of JJ Build Tech, were present.
Swami Asimatmanand, in his address, told the football teams and players about the all-round development-centric ideas of Swami Vivekananda’s youth.
On the occasion of the inauguration of this tournament, SP Singh, Sandeep Gupta, Ashwini Kumar, Padam Singh Thapa, and Subhash Sharma were present. The leading figures of organising this tournament are Rahul Rawat, Chairman, Sarvagun Gyannoday Trust, Trustee Ankur Rana, and Bikas Kushwaha, Rajiv Gurung, Shobhit Sharma. Vikas Kushwaha conducted the stage. Rahul Rawat, in his welcome speech, emphasised how and why Swami Vivekananda must be the ideal for the youth.
