Dehradun, 17 May: The installation Ceremony of The Experiment in International Living Dehradun Centre was held on 15 May at ITC Welcome Hotel Madhuban. The proceedings commenced with the outgoing CC Rajive Rekhi welcoming all members. It was followed by the outgoing Secretary, Treasurer and the CC giving their reports. The outgoing CC in his farewell speech thanked all members for their unflinching support during his extended tenure lasting four years. He highlighted that the Dehradun Centre has been the recipient of Best Trophy for the running three years and is expected to bag the same in the fourth year also. Thereafter, the outgoing CC invited National Vice Chairman Anil Mehra to conduct the Installation Ceremony, who administered the oath to CC elect Sumeet Nanda.
The new Committee members were introduced by CC Sumeet Nanda and were subsequently administered oath as office bearers and community members by National Vice Chairman Anil Mehra. Maj Gen Shammi Sabharwal (Retd) was appointed Associate CC, Maninder Juneja, Secretary, and Pramod Kapur as Treasurer.
CC Sumeet Nanda in his inaugural speech thanked all members for bestowing their faith in him and promised to take the Dehradun Centre to greater heights.
As the event coincided with Family Day, the celebrations for the same commenced immediately thereafter. There was a singing fest in which the members participated with great vigour. The event was choreographed by Maninder Juneja and Nidhi Nanda. The members thoroughly enjoyed the music and the ambience. All the participants were given a gift as a token of appreciation. All the members thoroughly praised the efforts of the new CC and his team. EIL took this opportunity to honour young Nishad and Kavya for their outstanding performance in academics.
Everyone was in celebratory mode and enjoyed the fellowship and the sumptuous food. EIL, Dehradun expressed gratitude to Satish Sharma (The Garhwal Post) and Indrani Pandhi (The Himachal Times) for their continuous and wholehearted support.
