Dehradun, 5 Jun: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme of the electoral rolls has begun in Uttarakhand. In this respect, detailed information was shared by Additional Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Vijay Kumar Jogdande during a press conference held at the Secretariat here today. Jogdande informed media that the SIR process will be carried out on the basis of the qualifying date of 1 July 2026. He shared that the training of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) has been completed in three phases and one hundred per cent printing of enumeration forms has been accomplished. From 8 June to 7 July 2026, BLOs will visit households across all the assembly constituencies to distribute and collect the forms. During this period, the collected forms will also be digitised and uploaded through the BAO app.

Jogdande stated that if a voter is not found at home, BLOs will make three visits to ensure delivery. The draft roll will be published on 14 July 2026, following which claims and objections can be filed between 14 July and 13 August. Notices will be issued and disposal of claims and objections will be held from 14 July to 11 September. The final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for 15 September 2026.

The ACEO further stated that enumeration forms will be provided to 79,60,762 voters in the state. Voters also have the option to download their forms online through the ECI Net app and upload them after filling. Any eligible person wishing to enrol their name in the voter list can contact their BLO and submit Form 6, which will be considered during the disposal of claims and objections.

For the convenience of voters, the Election Commission has introduced the “Book a Call with BLO” feature. Through the website https://voters.eci.gov.in or the ECI Net mobile app, voters can book a call with their BLO, who will contact them within two days.

Jogdande also mentioned that the voter list of 2003 has been made available on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand, ceo.uk.gov.in. The voters can search their details by assembly constituency, name, father’s or husband’s name, voter number and booth number. The facility also allows searches by street, locality and area names, making it easier for citizens to access information.
