Pantvarsity successfully conducts UG and PG Entrance Examinations

Pantnagar, 7 Jun: The entrance examinations for Undergraduate and MCA programmes conducted by Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, were successfully held in a peaceful and well-organised manner at various examination centres across the state. The examination was conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A total of 8,737 admit cards were issued for the Undergraduate entrance examination, out of which 7,358 candidates appeared for the test, registering an attendance of approximately 84.2 percent. For the MCA entrance examination, 155 admit cards were issued, and 124 candidates appeared for the examination.

A total of 19 examination centres were established across different districts of the state. The University administration ensured all necessary arrangements at every centre. Special seating arrangements were made for parents accompanying the candidates in Gandhi Hall, where videos showcasing the University’s achievements and various activities were screened. Adequate drinking water facilities were also provided for all parents.

Special arrangements were made for two differently-abled candidates to ensure that they could take the examination without any inconvenience.

The examination was conducted in a peaceful, fair, and orderly environment, and no untoward incident was reported from any examination centre. University officials stated that the results would be declared as per the prescribed procedure after evaluation of the answer scripts.

In the entrance examinations for Master’s and PhD programmes held on the previous day, and the Undergraduate and MCA programmes conducted today, a total of 8,785 candidates appeared, while 1,710 candidates remained absent. Director Communication, Dr JP Jaiswal said that Vice-Chancellor Professor Shivendra Kumar Kashyap expressed his appreciation for the successful and smooth conduct of the Undergraduate entrance examination. He thanked Registrar Dr Deepa Vinay, Controller of Examinations Dr AK Upadhyay, all Centre Superintendents, Coordinators, members of the Flying Squads, Invigilators, and supporting staff for their dedicated efforts and valuable contribution to the successful organisation of the examination.
