Dehradun, 10 Jun: In a bid to strengthen preventive healthcare and encourage early diagnosis of chronic and lifestyle-related health conditions, RG Hospitals will organise a two-day Mega Health Check-Up Camp on 19 and 20 June at its Dehradun facility.

The initiative comes at a time when conditions such as kidney stones, kidney diseases, enlarged prostate, fibroids, ovarian cysts, hernia, gallbladder stones, and piles are being diagnosed with increasing frequency, often after symptoms have progressed significantly. Through this health camp, RG Hospitals aims to improve awareness, facilitate timely medical intervention, and make specialist consultations and essential diagnostic services more accessible to the community.

As part of the programme, participants will have access to specialist consultations along with key diagnostic investigations, including ultrasound screening, Complete Blood Count (CBC), Liver Function Test (LFT), and Kidney Function Test (KFT). Additional screenings such as uroflowmetry for men and Pap smear testing for women will also be offered based on medical advice.

The hospital has also reaffirmed its commitment to accessible healthcare through cashless treatment facilities available under Ayushman Bharat, CGHS, CAPF, SGHS, and major insurance schemes.

Commenting on the initiative, Avinash Ojha, Managing Director & CEO at RG Hospitals said, “A large number of patients continue to seek medical attention only after symptoms begin affecting their quality of life. However, many conditions related to the kidneys, urinary system, prostate, and women’s health can be effectively managed when detected early. Through this health screening initiative, we aim to encourage people to take a proactive approach towards their health and avail specialist guidance before minor concerns develop into serious complications. Preventive healthcare remains one of the most effective tools for improving long-term health outcomes, and initiatives like these play an important role in building greater awareness within the community.”

The health camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at RG Hospitals – Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital, 8 Convent Road, near SBI Main Branch, Race Course. Registration charges have been kept at a nominal Rs 150 to encourage wider participation.
