Nature & spiritual traditions reinforce Yoga’s essence: Manveer Chauhan

Yamunotri, 21 Jun: On International Yoga Day, BJP Kalindi Mandal workers organised a yoga session at Yamunotri, the first spiritual halt of Char Dham Yatra. On this occasion, BJP’s state media incharge Manveer Chauhan was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chauhan observed that International Yoga Day is a celebration of Indian culture and philosophy of life. He described Yoga as India’s ancient tradition, a scientific method of balancing body, mind and soul, which has now transcended national boundaries to gain global acceptance. He credited the country and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking yoga to the world, where millions have embraced its power. He emphasised that in today’s fast‑paced life, marked by stress, unhealthy lifestyles and rising health challenges, yoga remains the simplest and most effective path to a healthy and positive life. He added that in Devbhoomi yoga holds special significance as its culture, nature and spiritual traditions strengthen the essence of yoga.

Among those present on the occasion were BJP’s district in‑charge and state spokesperson Naveen Thakur, Yamunotri temple committee members, the Panda community and the temple Rawal Ashish Uniyal. Area panchayat member representative Ranveer Rana, temple committee treasurer Pradeep Uniyal, Jyoti Prasad Uniyal, Manohar Uniyal, Pawan Uniyal, Khilanand Uniyal, Sundar Uniyal, Nitin Uniyal, along with other members of the temple committee and panda community were also along with Dr Vinod Dhoni, Neelam Uniyal, Dhananjay Bhandari, Sandeep Chauhan, Kuldeep Rawat, mandal president Praveen Aswal. The participants resolved to make yoga a part of their daily lives, reinforcing its message of health and harmony in the sacred surroundings of Yamunotri.
