Mussoorie, 1 Jul: On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day and Chartered Accountants (CA) Day, Lions Club Mussoorie honoured doctors and chartered accountants, today, upholding the spirit of social service. The event expressed society’s gratitude by honouring experts who have made significant contributions to the fields of healthcare and financial guidance. Speakers at the event remarked that doctors do not merely treat patients; in times of crisis, they act as lifesavers for society. From pandemics to natural disasters, doctors have served the public during every challenging period without regard for their own safety. Thus, Doctors’ Day serves as an opportunity to salute their dedication, service, and commitment to humanity.
Meanwhile, highlighting the contributions of chartered accountants, it was noted that they play a pivotal role in making the country’s economic system transparent and robust. Their guidance in trade, industry, and financial management forms the foundation of the economic progress of both society and the nation.
On this occasion, Dr KS Chauhan, Dr Sushil Saini, Dr Beena Singh, Dr Himani Payal, Dr Srishti Karanwal, and CA Jagjit Singh Sahni were honoured with mementos and certificates of appreciation. Lions Club Mussoorie President Lion Rajan Virmani stated that the true heroes of society are those who serve humanity through their professions. The club will continue to organise such service activities and felicitation ceremonies in the future.
