Harish Kumar Goel appointed Dehradun District Judge in judicial reshuffle

Dehradun/Nainital, 3 Jul: The Uttarakhand High Court has issued a notification announcing transfers and additional charges of several judicial officers. The orders have effected significant changes to the state’s judicial system. In this reshuffle, Harish Kumar Goel, Principal Judge of the Family Court in Pauri Garhwal, has been appointed as the new District and Sessions Judge of Dehradun. It may be recalled that the post of Dehradun’s district and session judge had been lying vacant for some time. The appointment of Harish Kumar Goel as the new district judge in Dehradun has been made effective immediately.

The notification also assigns additional responsibilities to other officers. Sanjeev Kumar, First Additional District and Sessions Judge of Nainital, has been given additional charge of the NDPS Special Court in Nainital. Kusum, FTC/Additional District and Sessions Judge of Dehradun, has been entrusted with additional responsibility of the Special POCSO Court in Dehradun. Similarly, Vivek Srivastava, Third Additional District and Sessions Judge of Dehradun, has been given additional charge of Special Court‑2 (NDPS) in Dehradun. Anita Gunjiyal, FTC/Additional District and Sessions Judge of Udham Singh Nagar, has been assigned additional responsibility of the Special POCSO Court in Udham Singh Nagar.
