Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar camp resolves grievances, delivers certificates on the spot

Garhwal Post Bureau
SAHASPUR, (Dehradun), 11 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday participated in the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ public service camp organised at Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Sahaspur under the ‘Service, Good Governance and Dedication’ programme. Addressing the gathering, the CM asserted that the objective of the State government is to bring governance and administration closer to the people. He emphasised that citizens should not be compelled to make repeated visits to government offices for resolution of their problems, rather, the government itself should reach their doorstep to provide services.
Dhami observed that in a democracy the people are supreme and the true meaning of good governance lies in a sensitive, accountable and citizen-centric administration. He also claimed that this campaign has strengthened the trust between governance and the public and has proven to be an effective medium to deliver benefits of government schemes to the last person in society. He also shared that during the first phase of the campaign, nearly 700 public service camps were organised across the state over 65 days, where more than five lakh people had participated. In Dehradun district alone, 46 camps were organised in the first phase and over 60,000 citizens had participated in the camps, with nearly 39,000 receiving benefits of government schemes and services on the spot.
The CM said that on the completion of five years of Service, Good Governance and Dedication, public service camps are being held across the State as part of the fortnight that had begun on July 4. So far, more than 64,000 citizens have participated, with 5,567 public grievances received, of which 4,951 have been resolved, and 2,522 citizens benefitted through certificates and services. At the Sahaspur camp, more than 1,000 people registered and were connected with various welfare schemes. Certificates and assistance were distributed to eligible beneficiaries, while departmental stalls provided information and services directly to the public.
Dhami asserted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is setting new benchmarks of development. He recalled the Prime Minister’s vision that “the third decade of the 21st century will belong to Uttarakhand” and said it is rapidly becoming a reality. He mentioned progress in the roads, health, education, drinking water, tourism, industry, investment and air connectivity to press his argument. He noted that for the first time the state successfully hosted G-20 meetings, National Games, Winter Yatra and the Global Investors Summit, strengthening the economy and creating a new identity in investment, industry, start-ups and tourism. He said that the government has taken a historic step by implementing the Uniform Civil Code for social justice and introduced the country’s strictest anti-cheating law to protect youth, resulting in transparent appointments of more than 34,000 young people in government services. He reiterated that under the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption, strict action is being taken against offenders.
The CM said that in Sahaspur constituency significant development works have been carried out in the health, drinking water, education, roads, irrigation, flood protection and agriculture sectors. He claimed that the government is working continuously to realise the resolve of ‘Developed Uttarakhand for Developed India’ and that delivering development and welfare benefits to every citizen remains the highest priority.
During the camp, he heard public grievances and directed the officials to ensure time-bound disposal. Suman Baskandi of Karbari Grant submitted a memorandum seeking installation of 30 solar lights in Syalok Karbari Grant, upon which the CM directed the MDDA to complete the work within two months. Local resident Babli Gupta requested sewing machines for making jute bags, and the CM directed immediate provision of the machine. Councillor Anil Nautiyal of Selakui Nagar Panchayat sought internal roads, drainage, interlocking CC roads and other works, for which the CM instructed the Directorate of Urban Development to act promptly. On the request of Gokul Foundation Charitable Trust, he directed assistance to be provided. Nandan Singh Kandari raised the demand for a cremation ground near Bhauwala bridge, and the CM instructed MDDA to complete construction within two months. Yashpal Singh Negi highlighted difficulties due to incomplete settlement work in Atakfarm and Central Hopetown, and Dhami directed the Revenue Secretary to resolve the issue within 15 days. The Shanti Vihar Improvement and Development Committee sought a park and open gym on Bhagwanpur Bahuguna Road in the name of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, and the Chief Minister directed MDDA to take action. He also instructed the Health Department to provide a dispensary and ambulance in village Badovala within a month.
